Steps

1. Open Build trip — Choose the Build trip category on the home screen to start the guided flow.
2. Enter the basics — Where you are starting from, where you want to go, your dates and how many people are travelling.
3. Set your preferences — Pace, interests and budget. These shape what the itinerary puts in each day and how much it packs in.
4. Pick a destination if you are undecided — If you did not name a destination, BackIn5 suggests some that fit your dates and preferences.
5. Choose your flight — Flight options are searched for your route and dates. The itinerary is then built around the one you choose, so arrival and departure times line up with day one and the last day.
6. Wait while the plan is generated — The itinerary streams in day by day, so you can start reading it before the whole trip is finished.
7. Review the day-by-day plan — Each day has a timeline of stops with times and locations. From here you can edit it, add stays, or share it.

Do I have to pick a flight to get an itinerary?

The guided form builds the plan around a flight so the first and last days match your real arrival and departure times. If you are not booking flights through BackIn5, chat mode lets you describe the trip without one.

How long does generating an itinerary take?

Usually a minute or two. The plan streams in a day at a time, so you can read day one while the rest is still being written.

Can I change the itinerary afterwards?

Yes. You can edit individual days or regenerate the whole itinerary from the trip page.
