Generate an itinerary in chat mode
Describe the trip in your own words and the assistant asks for anything it still needs, then builds the plan.
Where to find it: Home → Chat mode toggle
Steps
- Turn on Chat mode — The toggle sits beside the search card on the home screen. The search card labels it "AI mode".
- Describe the trip — Plain language works: "a relaxed week in northern Italy in May for two, we like food and galleries".
- Answer the follow-up questions — The assistant asks only for what it is missing — usually dates, the number of travellers, or where you are flying from.
- Review the itinerary it builds — The plan appears in the chat as a day-by-day card with a map and expandable stops.
- Keep refining in the same conversation — Ask for changes — "make day three lighter", "add a day trip" — and the plan updates in place.
Good to know
- Chat mode and the form produce the same kind of itinerary. Chat suits a vague idea; the form suits a trip you have already pinned down.
- You can speak instead of typing — see voice input.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between chat mode and the form?
The same itinerary engine, a different way in. Chat mode is better when you are still deciding; the form is faster when you already know the destination, dates and flight.
Can I ask the assistant to change the plan?
Yes. Ask in the same conversation and the itinerary is rewritten in place rather than started again.
