Speak to the assistant instead of typing
Any assistant input can be dictated. Recording stops on its own when you stop speaking, and the transcript appears in the message box for you to check before sending.
Where to find it: The microphone button in any assistant input
Steps
- Tap the microphone — Your browser asks for permission the first time.
- Speak your request — A level meter shows that audio is being picked up.
- Stop, or just pause — Recording ends when you tap again, or automatically after about a second of silence once you have started speaking.
- Check the transcript — The text lands in the message box. Edit it if anything came out wrong.
- Send it — From here it behaves exactly like a typed message.
